Brownfield Construction Methods Engineer

Can you develop and implement construction methodologies and strategies for projects related to brownfield developments? Do you have excellent technical expertise, project management skills, and construction knowledge?

For one of our clients providing innovative offshore solutions, we are looking for a Brownfield Construction Methods Engineer for the Project Constructability processes and all Construction Deliverables during the WIN and Execution Phase. You will assist the PMT in producing project-specific documentation and transfer it to the Project Site for the Construction and Completion Phase. Additionally, you will adhere to and participate in the implementation of the Project HSSE and Quality Plans. While at the Project Site, along with the Construction Manager, you are expected to lead the roll-out of the monthly safety-related campaign.

Tasks & responsibilities:
Create a safe working project culture:

• Ensure that HSSE best practices are implemented in the design during Constructability.
• Adhere to the HSSE plan and enforce its implementation.

Meet Group/Project Quality requirements:

• Adhere to the Quality Plan review and approve Yard ITPs and assist Supply Chain for major packages.
• Enforce Group Quality Golden Rules.
• Interface with the site Quality Verification Manager.
• Give feedback on project quality issues to relevant stakeholders for implementation across future projects.

Achieve timely delivery of the Project from the WIN to the Execution Phase:

• At the office:
  • Participate in the Construction Execution Plan.
  • Assist the PM in preparing and reviewing the RFQ package.
  • Participate in the Yard selection.
  • Drive the Constructability process and issue the report.
  • Coordinate the issuance of the Construction deliverables.
  • Coordinate review and approval of Construction yard quality documentation.
  • Coordinate the Welding Procedures Qualification Program with the Yard, Quality Verification Manager, and the company's Material Department.
    
• At the Project Site:
  • Ensure the interface between teams.
  • Evaluate potential changes (MOC) before implementation and alert the Construction Manager accordingly.
  • Review progress report, method statement, construction procedure and all day-to-day technical clarifications.
  • Coordinate processing of Yard Construction document and distribute to relevant Site personnel for review and comment (set e-CDR review matrix accordingly).

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in construction management, preferably in brownfield projects or offshore construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, HSSE best practices, and quality management systems.
• Project Management skills: contribute to construction execution planning, RFQ package preparation, and coordination of construction deliverables.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with teams and stakeholders, reviewing progress reports, and providing feedback.
• Familiar with welding procedures qualification programs and coordination with the Yard and Material Department.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be willing to travel to project sites.
