HSE Advisor
As an HSE Advisor, you play an important role in maintaining and continuously improving safety within the organisation and its projects. You advise colleagues and management on HSE matters and translate legislation, standards and procedures into practical solutions. You are regularly present on the work floor, identifying risks and discussing improvements directly with those involved. You work closely with departments such as production, project management, engineering and quality. This role requires an independent, communicative and pragmatic safety professional who can effectively connect policy with day-to-day practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising management, project teams and colleagues on HSE matters and practical safety solutions
- Conducting workplace inspections, safety observations and audits, and following up on identified risks and improvement actions
- Supporting risk assessments, LMRA processes, toolbox meetings and other safety initiatives
- Investigating incidents and near misses and translating lessons learned into practical improvement measures
- Ensuring projects comply with relevant legislation, client requirements, industry standards and internal HSE procedures
HSE Advisor
- MVK (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde) qualification or an equivalent safety qualification
- Several years of relevant HSE or safety experience, preferably within the offshore, metal, heavy construction, energy, process or chemical industry
- Good knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, safety standards and requirements; experience with offshore projects is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, an independent and practical approach, and a good command of both Dutch and English
