Instrumentation Engineer

Are you experienced in selecting and specifying field instruments for complex industrial environments? Can you ensure technical quality while building on the foundation of previous engineering phases?

We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to design, specify, and manage field instrumentation systems while supporting the integration of package units within a large-scale industrial project.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Select and specify field instruments for various process units (e.g., HEFA, hydrogen, utilities).
• Prepare and manage requisitions for instrumentation equipment.
• Support the development of instrument design and technical documentation.
• Coordinate and integrate instrumentation within multiple package units.
• Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
• Support the transition from previous engineering phases and ensure design continuity.
• Ensure consistency and quality across approximately 4000 field instruments and 3000 I/O points.
• Contribute to system integration across a greenfield (grassroot) plant environment.
• Maintain alignment with project standards and engineering best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• Proven experience as an Instrument Engineer in industrial or energy projects.
• Strong experience with field instrument selection and requisition handling.
• Experience supporting or developing instrument design.
• Experience working with and integrating package units.
• Familiarity with large-scale industrial or greenfield projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in multidisciplinary environments.
• Flexible mindset and ability to integrate into an existing project team.
• Fluent in English ─ Dutch is a plus!
