Senior Civil Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer (Concrete Works & Foundations) to lead and coordinate concrete, foundation, and underground engineering activities for complex industrial and energy projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Design, calculate, and review reinforced concrete structures, foundations, and underground systems for industrial projects.
• Develop foundation concepts based on geotechnical recommendations and equipment loading data.
• Perform and review foundation calculations, structural analyses, and concrete design calculations.
• Coordinate engineering activities related to equipment foundations, pile foundations, shallow foundations, underground concrete structures, and drainage interfaces.
• Prepare technical specifications, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and material take-offs for concrete and foundation works.
• Review and supervise work performed by designers, subcontractors, and external engineering parties.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Review geotechnical investigations and soil survey reports.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
• Support project planning, progress monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives within civil engineering activities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in concrete and foundation engineering within industrial, petrochemical, oil & gas, or energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards such as Eurocodes, ACI, DIN, and British Standards.
• Experience with reinforced concrete design, pile design, foundation analysis, and underground structures.
• Proficiency with engineering and analysis software such as STAAD Pro, FEM tools, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant/SP3D.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and subcontractor activities.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and coordination skills.
• Fluent in English required; Dutch and/or German is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary EPC project environments.
