Senior Civil & Plant Steel Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Civil & Plant Steel Engineer to lead and coordinate civil, structural steel, and concrete engineering activities for complex industrial and energy projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Execute and coordinate civil and plant steel engineering activities for industrial projects.
• Design and oversee foundations, steel structures, concrete structures, buildings, and underground systems.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering calculations, requisitions, and material take-offs.
• Review and support the work of designers and external engineering subcontractors.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil engineering and other disciplines such as piping, process, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and construction.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with international standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Monitor project quality, planning, and cost optimisation throughout the engineering phase.
• Support multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure efficient project execution.
• Contribute to resolving technical issues and ensuring the constructability of designs.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise during project execution.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within industrial, EPC, petrochemical, or energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, steel structures, concrete structures, and underground systems.
• Experience with international design standards and codes such as Eurocodes.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and 3D modelling software.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in English.
• Dutch and/or German language skills are considered an advantage.
• Ability to guide designers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams in a project environment.
