Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer to design, specify, and deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical equipment solutions for complex oil & gas projects from concept through commissioning.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical equipment scope across concept, FEED, detailed design, and execution phases.
• Select methods, procedures, and design solutions in compliance with international codes, project specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and review equipment datasheets, technical specifications, calculations, and material requisitions.
• Manage mechanical equipment packages, including technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
• Coordinate interfaces with Process, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other disciplines.
• Ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed schedule and budget.
• Support manufacturing follow-up, inspections, FAT activities, and site engineering when required.
• Address technical queries, deviations, and non-conformances during fabrication and installation.
• Capture and apply lessons learned to improve reliability, operability, and safety.
• Mentor junior engineers and, when assigned, act as Discipline Lead for the mechanical scope.

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical equipment engineering within oil & gas or EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment design principles and applicable international codes.
• Experience with static and/or rotating equipment packages.
• Proven experience in vendor management and technical bid evaluation.
• Familiarity with inspection, testing, commissioning, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Good planning and organisational capabilities.
• Strong communication skills in English.
