Senior Production Engineer (Non-operating)

We are looking for a Senior Production Engineer (Non-operating) who provides technical assurance and production engineering expertise across deepwater field development, start-up, and operations, helping multidisciplinary asset teams optimise well performance and make sound technical decisions.

In this non-operating role, you will review, advise, and influence production engineering activities rather than manage day-to-day offshore operations directly.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Provide technical assurance and advice on deepwater production engineering, well performance, and production optimisation.
• Review and challenge production strategies for well start-up, ramp-up, gas lift, production surveillance, well interventions, and workovers.
• Develop, review, and maintain wellbore and surface network models to support field development, production forecasting, and operational decision-making.
• Perform production engineering analyses, including NODAL analysis, well testing, production optimisation, and formation-damage assessment.
• Review flow assurance and chemical treatment strategies for hydrates, scale, corrosion, and emulsions.
• Support field-development activities during commissioning, start-up, ramp-up, and operational execution.
• Assess production risks, review mitigation measures, and identify opportunities to improve well performance, reliability, and production efficiency.
• Translate complex production data and modelling results into clear technical recommendations for multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with reservoir, wells, facilities, operations, and project teams throughout the offshore asset lifecycle.
• Ensure production engineering recommendations comply with HSE requirements and applicable industry standards.

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years of production engineering experience, including significant exposure to deepwater offshore assets.
• Strong hands-on experience in production modelling and wellbore/surface network modelling.
• Experience with production engineering software such as GAP, PROSPER, PIPESIM, IPM, or comparable tools.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Production optimisation
  • Well start-up and ramp-up
  • Gas lift
  • Production surveillance
  • Well intervention and workover support
• Solid knowledge of flow assurance, including hydrate, scale, corrosion, and emulsion management.
• Experience supporting offshore field development or major capital projects, preferably through commissioning, start-up, and operational phases.
• Strong technical understanding of NODAL analysis, well testing, formation damage, subsurface integrity, and well optimisation.
• Proven ability to review technical work, identify risks, and provide independent engineering recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-company asset teams.
• Strong commitment to safe, efficient, and HSE-compliant offshore production.
