We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who leads cost control, contract management, and commercial negotiations across civil, mechanical, and E&I scopes to ensure projects stay on budget and commercially compliant.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and E&I disciplines.
- Manage commercial contracts, invoicing, claims, and vendor billing.
- Lead change orders, variation assessments, and cost negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor installed vs contracted quantities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
- Recalculate project costs when design or scope changes occur.
- Prepare tenders, variation estimates, and service/material cost proposals.
- Certify completed works and ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Track contractor performance, progress reporting, and monthly cost statistics.
- Support contractual claims, commercial strategy, and dispute resolution.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify that work aligns with the budget.
- Maintain daily site logs, progress tracking, and documentation.
- Coordinate technical and commercial meetings with clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch and EU contract laws and regulations.
- Work closely with construction leadership to support commercial project control.
Requirements Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying on large industrial or complex construction projects.
- Experience across Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scopes.
- Background in FMCG, edible oil refining, chemical or industrial plant projects is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial management, and EU/Dutch regulations.
- Proven experience with cost estimation, claims, invoicing, variations, and procurement.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Confident in managing client commercial interfaces and subcontractor relationships.
- Highly organised, structured, and comfortable working in fast-paced site environments.
- Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage.
