SME Petrophysicist

We are looking for a Senior Petrophysics Specialist to provide technical leadership in advanced petrophysical interpretation and integrate subsurface data into geological and reservoir models to support offshore field development and decision-making.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead and perform advanced petrophysical interpretation for offshore exploration, appraisal, and development wells.
• Collect, manage, and quality-check petrophysical datasets to ensure robust technical outcomes.
• Integrate physical results into static (geological) and dynamic (reservoir) models.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to petrophysics within the organisation.
• Support the implementation of new tools, workflows, and best practices in petrophysics.
• Participate in technical reviews, contribute to reporting, and support subsurface project activities.
• Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within multidisciplinary subsurface teams.

• Minimum 15 years of offshore oil & gas experience, with a strong focus on petrophysics.
• Proven experience with classic (sandstone) and carbonate reservoirs.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Well log analysis and advanced petrophysical interpretation
  • SCAL and uncertainty analysis
  • Integration of petrophysical data with geological and reservoir models
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and influence technical staff.
• Strategic mindset and proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to relocate to South America and work on-site.
